Leaving Germany in less than a week

It feels strange to think that I’m going to be leaving Germany in less than a week. As I flip-flop through my emotions related to this, I find myself incessantly making lists about the things I’m looking forward to, and the things I’ll miss.

The most trivial of the list are related to food. I’m going to miss the cheapness of meals at the Uni; but I’m definitely, definitely DEFINATELY going to look forward to eating something other than bread and cheese for breakfast and dinner, nearly every day. Don’t get me wrong, the bread and cheese are top notch. But I want peanuts. And salad without mayonnaise and potatoes in it. And a fat piece of American-grown watermelon. And everything that my mom or dad has cooked, like, ever.
